News Nepal APF Wins Title Of 3rd Chandragiri Gold Cup

Nepal APF has clinched the title of 3rd Chandragiri gold cup football tournament at Naikap, Kathmandu.

Nepal APF defeated Nepal Police Club 5-4 on penalties to lift the title on Saturday.

Both teams played 1-1 draw in regulation time before inviting a spot kick battle. Prabin Syangtan scored for APF in 7th minute while Nir Kumar Rai levelled the score for NPC in 42nd minute.

Nir Kumar Rai became the man of the match and received Nrs 5,000 cash.

The champions received Nrs 6,50,000. The runners up team got Nrs 3,50,000. Chandragiri mayor Ghanshyam Giri and other guests distributed prizes to the winners.

Deep Sikha yuwa samuha organized the championship, which is sponsored by Chandragiri municipality.

Tournament coordinator Ramesh Budhathoki, former Nepal international, thanked everyone for their support in making the tournament successful.
