Bara: Nijgadh Gold Cup Kicks Off; Nawa Jana Jagriti Yuwa Club & Sarlahi Victorious

Nijgadh gold cup got underway in Nijgadh, Bara on Sunday.

Nawa Jana Jagriti yuwa club, Bara defeated Makwanpur 4-2 on penalties in the opening match. Both teams played 2-2 draw in regulation time before going to spot kick battle.

Rohan Tamang became the man of the match.

In the second match, Sarlahi XI defeated Bekhadi yuwa club, Mahottari 4-3 on penalties to enter second round.

Hari Samaj Chitwan will play against Birgunj United on Monday.

Eight teams are participating in the event, which has a winning purse of Nrs 1,50,000. Runners up team will get Nrs 1 lakh.
