The second edition of the KP Oli Cup Knockout Football Tournament, initiated by the Youth Association of Nepal last year, is set to take place from Falgun 11-19. The tournament will see top clubs from Nepal and abroad compete for the prestigious title and significant cash prizes.

In a press conference held on Wednesday, the organizers officially announced the tournament schedule and opened team registration for clubs interested in participating. The tournament promises to be a thrilling affair, with teams from neighboring countries such as India and Bhutan also showing interest in joining the competition, signaling the growing regional appeal of the event.

This year’s tournament will see an increased prize pool. The winner of the tournament will take home a generous cash prize of 15,11,111 rupees, along with the coveted title. The runner-up will receive a trophy and a cash reward of 500,000 rupees.

The last edition of the KP Oli Cup, held in 2023, saw Machhindra Football Club emerge as champions, securing a hard-fought victory over Satdobato Youth Club in a thrilling final. Machhindra will look to defend their title as they take on some of the best clubs in the region.

With the participation of foreign teams and an exciting prize pool, this year’s KP Oli Cup is expected to elevate the competition to new heights, drawing football fans from across Nepal and beyond.
