The National Sports Council has distributed identity cards to the players of various sports on Wednesday. NSC Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising presented three types of identity cards to the players during a program.

Platinum, Gold and Silver identity cards with various facilities have been awarded to the athletes participating in the competition along with the medal winners of major national sports and international competitions.

Platinum ID card holders will get free entry to sports activities and swimming pools in the physical structure of Rakhep, as well as free services for labs and other tests at Sports Medicine and Research Center under Rakhep. Gold ID card holders will get 80 percent discount on both services available to Platinum ID card holders.

Silver ID card holders will be given a 50% discount on sports activities and swimming pools in the physical structure of Rakhep.

In the program, Member-Secretary Ghising expressed his commitment to take initiatives for health, education and transportation concessions for sportsmen with identity cards through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to ensure social security to the Government of Nepal.
