Pharsatikar Youth Club and the host Evolution Club of Butwal have entered the semi-finals of the second Evolution Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament held here.

Pharsatikar beat Himal Youth Club 2-1 in the first quarter-final played on Thursday, which was stopped by rain on Wednesday. Anil Baniyan Chhetri and Balaram Neupane scored the goals in Pharsatikar's victory.

Ramesh Shahi scored only one goal for the defeated Himal. Pharsatikar's Balram Neupane was also chosen as the man of the match.

Similarly, in the second quarter-final held on Thursday, Evolution defeated Wanganga Welfare Society, Kapilvastu by 3-0. Jitesh Gurung scored two goals for Evolution and Nirajan Khatri scored one more goal.

Jitesh Gurung of Evolution who scored two goals in the match was elected man of the match. According to Amar Thapa Magar, the match coordinator Amar Thapa Magar informed that the third quarter final match on will be between former winners Lisnu Yuva Club and Manobhav Football Club.

The president of the organizing club Ram Bahadur Pun said that the winner of the competition organized by the Evolution Club of Butwal will receive a cash prize of Rs. The final match will be held on 10th of Jestha.
