Tribhuwan Army Football Club, Kathmandu has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 6th Bagmati Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament with a great win.
In the fourth and last quarter-final held on Sunday, the Army defeated the home team, Bagmati Village Sports Development Committee, Makwanpur, 4-0 and secured the semi-final spot.
Gillespie Jung Karki, Kamal Thapa, Fatteman Ghale and Ras Bahadur Magar scored goals in Army's victory. Army's Fatteman Ghale was also chosen as the man of the match.
Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Monday, Falgun 7, will be held between Machindra Football Club, Kathmandu and Neurod Team (NRT), the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament organized by Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee, Makwanpur, will receive 10 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 10th of Falgun.
