In the list of FIFA referees released by FIFA for 2024, a total of 12 referees from Nepal have been included.
Although the number has not decreased from last year, four referees have changed. Jhapa's Shyam Danuwar got a FIFA referee, while Prakash Nath Shrestha was removed from the FIFA list.
Similarly, Prakash Bhujel from Chitwan and Harish Karki from Kathmandu have replaced the late Vikram Chaudhary and Yunal Malla who migrated to Australia as assistant referees. On the women's side, Merina Dhimal of APF has replaced Radhika Shakya as a FIFA assistant referee.
Prajwal Chhetri, Navindra Maharjan and Kavin Byanjankar have continued as FIFA referees. On the women's side, Anjana Rai is the most consistent FIFA referee. Similarly, Naniram Thapa, Madhav Khatri, Kishan Kanhaiya Yadav and Sahdev Shrestha continued as assistant referees.
