Under the auspices of the Rara Veteran Club, situated in Rajarani, Dhankuta, an exciting sporting spectacle is on the horizon. Commencing on November 11th, the inaugural Mr. Gyan Bahadur and Buddhimaya Limbu Smriti First Rara Veteran Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament is set to captivate football enthusiasts.
The meticulously planned tournament will take place at the Rajarani playground, nestled within the Chaubise rural municipality. Inaugurating the event, the opening match is scheduled for November 11th, where our Dharan Veterans, representing Sunsari, will square off against Dudhe Veterans from Jhapa.
A total of eight teams, hailing from both Nepal and India, have enthusiastically joined this competition, adding a vibrant international dimension. The culmination of this thrilling tournament is earmarked for November 14th.
With the esteemed patronage of Chaubise Rural Municipality in Rajarani, Dhankuta, the victorious team will be rewarded with a generous cash prize of 1 lakh 1 thousand, while the runners-up will receive a commendable 51 thousand. Furthermore, the organizers have thoughtfully arranged enticing prizes for outstanding performers in various individual categories.
