
In the 6th edition of the Prakashpur Challenge Cup open knockout football tournament, the host team, Prakashpur Football Club, has advanced to the semi-finals.
During the second quarter-final match held on Sunday, Prakashpur secured a hard-fought victory, defeating Ramdhuni Yuva Club with a scoreline of 2-1.
Sanjay Limbu and Ekraj Budhathoki were the scorers for Prakashpur, while Pujan Chaudhary managed to net a goal for the valiant Ramdhuni team.
Ekraj Budhathoki of Prakashpur was recognized as the man of the match, earning him a cash prize of 1500 along with a well-deserved trophy.
It's worth noting that the third quarter-final match, scheduled for Monday, October 22, will feature Talatalaiya Football Club facing off against Purvanchal APF.
The competition, generously sponsored by the Barahkshetra Municipal Sports Development Committee, Sunsari, and Barahkshetra Municipality Ward No. 10 office, offers a substantial prize pool.
The eventual champion will be awarded a cash prize of 100,000, while the runner-up will receive 50,000.
