Makwanpur (GoalNepal) - The fifth Bagmati Gold Cup football tournament organized by Bagmati Rural Municipality of Makwanpur is going to start on the 24th of Poush. 

In a press conference held on Saturday to inform about the competition, the organizers informed that the necessary preparations to complete the competition with grandeur this time have also been intensified.

Tournament coordinator Tikalal Shrestha said that a total of 10 teams, seven A Division clubs, and one foreign team and two teams from outside the valley will participate in the tournament to be held at Janata Ma.Vi's playground located in Bagmati-8 Phaparbari.

Similarly, coordinator Tikalal Shrestha said that the man of the match of each game will be given an attractive prize including five thousand in cash for the individual category. The organizers informed that it is estimated to cost around 71 lakhs to complete the competition.

Similarly, the organizers have said that a sports journalist with exemplary work in the field of sports will also be honored with cash of 15,000. The organizer expects everyone's support and cooperation to complete the competition successfully.

Tikalal Shrestha, chairman of Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee, informed that the competition, which is estimated to cost 71 lakh rupees will be collected through sponsors and advertisements.

The winners of the competition will receive a shield, medal and certificate along with cash of eight lakh rupees, while the runners-up will receive four lakh rupees.
