
Sunil Ghalan of Bijay Youth Club was named the player of the match in the Local-level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup 2079 fixture against Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara. BYC defeated NJJYC 3-0 to make their way to the semifinals of the tournament.
Sunil Ghalan scored a goal towards the end of the match and was pivotal in their win. He received Rs. 10,000 in cash.
Bijay Youth Club will now face the Nepal Police Club in the semi-finals tomorrow.
The winner of the competition will get Rs 15 lakhs in cash along with the title while the runner-up will get Rs 10 lakhs. Similarly, those who excel in the individual category will also be given Rs 25,000 cash and a trophy each. The best player in the competition will get a motorcycle sponsored by the Hetauda School of Management.
A total of 12 teams including top clubs of the country are participating in the competition.
