Janajyoti club has entered pre-quarterfinals in late Prachanda Thaiba memorial cup football tournament.

Janajyoti defeated Bhairab sports club, Nawalparasi 3-2 on penalties to enter last 16 on Sunday at Sidheshowri sports field, Butwal.

Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time. Goalie Srijan Shrestha became the player of the match.

The championship has a winning purse of NRs 55,555. Runners up team will get NRs 25,555.

Final match will be played on Poush 5, 2077.
