Rupandehi: 2nd Sainamaina Mayor Cup Kicks Off; New Everest Makes A Winning Start

2nd Sainamaina Mayor Cup got underway in Rupandehi on Saturday.

New Everest Youth Club defeated Nawa Yuwa Club 3-2 on penalties in the opener at Saraswati Ma Vi ground.

The teams played goalless draw in the regulation time.

Anil Chhetri of New Everest was adjudged the man of the match.

A total of 16 teams from Rupandehi, Nawalparasi and Kathmandu are taking part in the tournament.

Winners will take away Rs.1,77,777 while runners-up team will get Rs.88,888.

Final match is scheduled on Chaitra 20.

Janapriya Sporting Club is organizing the tournament under the preservance of Sainamaina Municipality.
