Nepal Police club marched into the pre-quarterfinal match of Bhugarva cement martyr's memorial Makwanpur gold cup as they defeated Chyasal youth Club in sudden death at Forestry science ground, Hetauda on Saturday.

They will meet Friends Club in quarterfinals.

Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time before going to spot kick battle.

Super sub goalie Roshan Khadka blocked sudden death kick of Sanjog Rai to win the match.

Dinesh Gurung became the man of the match and received Nrs 10,000 cash.

Dauphins will play against Nepal APF in quarterfinal match on Sunday.

Makwanpur DFA is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Nrs 8 lakh.
