Nepal women's team (108th) defeated higher ranked Iran (60th) 3-0 to put feet closer to the finals of Hero women's cup.

Star of the match, Sabitra Bhandari scored a brace while Anita Basnet struck one for Nepal at Kalinga stadium, Bhubaneshowr, India Wenesday evening.

Nepal now awaits the result from India and Myanmar later this evening. Match starts at 7:15 PM NST.

Nepal and Myanmar have six points while India have three points. Iran have crashed out from the event with null point.

If Myanmar beats or plays draw against India, Nepal will go through finals. India needs to beat Myanmar by higher margin if they want to enter final.
