Bal Bikash made a winning start in 4th NEF-Saipal Inter-school 6-A-side football tournament as they defeated Laxmipur 2-0 in the opening match in Kathmandu n Thursday.

In other matches of the day, Nobes won 2-1 against ODC, Jagat Mandir beat BNA 3-2 on penalties, Nepal Model registered 2-0 win against ODC, Kastamandap defeated Skibes 2-1 and Bindhyabasini crushed Paramount Academy 2-0 on penalties.

The tournament is organized by North Region Educational Forum(NEF) and is sponsored by Saipal Academy.

Kathmandu PABSON President Hari Krishna Shrestha inaugurated the championship in which 64 school teams are taking part.

The best 20 players from the competition will get a chance to go Philippines to compete in a tournament.
