Hosts Far West XI will meet Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta football training centre in the opener of Far West Khaptad gold cup football tournament.

The tournament is kicking off on Poush 24 at Dhangadhi stadium.

The championship has a winning purse of Rs 21 lakh. Runners up team will get Rs 10 lakh.

The most valuable player of the event will get one motorbike.

Participating teams are:

MMC, Sankata Club, Three Star Club, NPC, Nepal APF, Morang XI, Kakarvitta FC, Gorkha Boys, Chyasal Youth, Foreign team, Delhi FC, Far West XI
