Himalayan Sherpa club defeated Friends club 3-1 on Tuesday to win the title of Chandragiri gold cup football tournament.

Lawal had put Friends ahead in 63rd minute and were close to victory. But Bhison Gurung leveled the score in 90th minute.

The mountaineers scored two goals in extra time. Henry scored in 97th and Cedric Aba scored in 118th minute to ensure hard fought victory.

The champions received Rs 5 lakhs while runners up team got half of that amount.

Bright youth club, Naikap organized the championship.
