TRG FC crowned champions of 12th Expert Education Cup in Sydney
Sydney – TRG FC (The Rising Gurkhas FC) emerged as champions of the 12th Expert Education Cup 2016 after defeating Himalayan Youth Club (HYC) 2–0 in the grand final held in Sydney.
Abhishek Gurung and Nirakar Pradhan were on target for TRG FC, scoring one goal each to seal a convincing and well-deserved victory.
With the title win, TRG FC pocketed AUD 4,000 in prize money, while runners-up Himalayan Youth Club received AUD 1,500.
In individual awards, HYC’s Tennis Chhantyal was named Best Player of the Tournament and awarded AUD 150. SGNC’s Rupak Lama finished as the Top Scorer and received AUD 100, while TRG FC goalkeeper Nabin KC was adjudged Best Goalkeeper and took home AUD 100.
