Three districts have made a winning start in the Koshi province level men's football tournament which started on Asar 3 in Myanglung of Tehrathum district.

In the first match, Udayapur has entered the quarter-finals by defeating Ilam in a tie breaker. After the two teams scored two goals each at the scheduled time, the result of the match was decided through trivacker. In the tie breaker, Udayapur defeated Ilam by 4-3 goals and entered the next stage. Udayapur's Sunil Khadka was declared the man of the match.

Similarly, Panchthar defeated Bhojpur in the second match. The match was pushed to a tiebreaker after both teams scored one goal each at the scheduled time. In which Panchthar won with a goal difference of 5-4.

In the third match, Okhaldhunga defeated Solukhumbu 1-0. Okhaldhunga's captain Raju Rai scored the decisive goal in the second half of the match. Raju was declared the man of the match. The man of the match of each game was awarded with a trophy along with five thousand five hundred rupees in cash.

The last match was between Tehrathum and Dhankuta. Terathum sidelined Dhankuta and entered second round.

Earlier, Koshi Province Social Development Minister Panchkarna Rai inaugurated the tournament which started at Myanglung Stadium in conjunction with the organization of Koshi Province Sports Development Board, Myanglung Municipality's Planning and Sports Development Committee.

The winner of the competition will receive 3 lakh 33 thousand 333 rupees in cash, while the runner-up will receive 2 lakh 22 thousand 222 rupees. The final match will be held on the 8th of Asar.
