
Hetauda Football Academy has entered the quarter finals of the ongoing Shahid Hemnarayan Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament in Siraha.
In the pre-quarter finals held on Thursday, Hetauda defeated Maa Kamakhya Sports Club, Banaras (India) 2-1 and secured a place in the quarter finals.
Niraj Thakuri and Diwas Shrestha scored goals for Hetauda in the match at Siraha Multipurpose Campus. Naobi scored only one goal for the defeated Maa Kamakhya. Hetouda's Divas Shrestha was declared Man of the Match.
The winner of the competition organized by Salhesh Yuva Club, Siraha will receive 271,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 135,000.
The final match of the tournament, in which a total of 10 teams are participating, will be held on the 30th of Falgun.
