
APF Football Club, Kathmandu has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 6th Bagmati Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament at Phaparbari, Makwanpur.
In the second quarter-final held on Friday, APF defeated Church Boys United, Kathmandu 3-1 and entered the last four.
Anish Maharjan scored two goals for APF and one more goal was scored by Fofana in the match at Janata Mavi's playground. Vishal Basnet scored the only goal for the defeated Church Boys.
APF's Anish Maharjan was elected man of the match. Under the competition, the third quarter-final match on Saturday, will be held between Jawalakhel Youth Club, Kathmandu and Machchindra Football Club, Kathmandu, informed the organizers.
The winner of the tournament organized by the Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee, Makwanpur will receive 10 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 10th of Falgun.
