Kathmandu: 2nd Veterans Championship Kicks Off

2nd Kapan veterans football tournament got underway at Chabahil, Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Kapan defeated Chabahil veterans 2-1 in the opening match. Pasang Sherpa scored both goals for the winners. Ranjit Lama scored one for Chabahil.

In other matches, Nuwakot defeated Sindhu Sports 1-0 & SNKC defeated Koteshowr 10-0.

Ward number 7 chairman Bimal Kumar Hoda inaugurated the championship.

21 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 1 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 50,000.
