
Hetauda (GoalNepal) - Four matches have been completed on the second day in the ongoing National Veterans Cup eight-a-side football tournament on Wednesday. In the first match, X Veterans Pokhara won by defeating Nagaswati Veterans.
X won 3-2 in the tiebreaker after the match ended in a goalless draw. Dipendra Shahi of X Veterans was declared Man of the Match in the match.
Similarly, in another match, Hetauda Veterans Super defeated Birgunj Veterans, Parsa 5-4 in a tiebreaker. Before that, both teams played a goalless draw. In the match, Ritu Kumar Shakya of Birgunj was elected Man of the Match.
In the day's third match, MMC Kathmandu won by defeating Birgunj City 0-2. Prakash Rana Magar and Shishir Bahadur Hamal scored the goals in MMC's win. MMC's Prakash Rana Magar was declared Man of the Match.
Similarly, in the day's last match, Baneshwar Veterans defeated Abhishek Church 7-6 in the penalty shootout. Before that, both the teams played a competitive match with 1-1 goals.
The winners of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,11,111 along with the title, while the runners-up will receive Rs. 55,555. Similarly, the organizers informed that attractive prizes have also been arranged for the individual category.
