Machhindra Football Club (MFC) has been congratulated by FIFA President Gianni Infantino on winning the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22.

MFC were crowned champions after a 2-1 victory over APF Football Club in their final league game on Saturday.

In a letter to the club, FIFA President Infantino stated that the title was earned through hard work, passion, and dedication and that everyone at the club should be proud of the achievement. He urged them to keep working hard with a sense of teamwork, passion, and determination.

'I finally take this opportunity to thank you and your Association for your contribution to the development and prosperity of football in Nepal, in your region and around the world,' the letter said, according to ANFA.
