Sri Lanka coach Amir Alagic thinks that Nepal is an ambitious team in SAFF Championship 2021.
Alagic said they were trying to be competitive and will give their best against Nepal in today's match in Male.
"Nepal looks ambitious. We are trying to be competitive. We are in the learning phase. We hope in near future we will rope in more players from Sri Lanka heritage to make the team more competitive", said Alagic.
Sri Lanka currently have three players with Lankan heritage.
"We still see us in the race. We are concentrated for Nepal's match. We will play against them with good spirit", added Alagic.
Sri Lanka had lost their first match to Bangladesh whereas Nepal had defeated hosts Maldives 1-0 on matchday 1 on October 1.
The match will be played at 9:45 PM NST.
