Good Morning Football Club has won the title of Pradeep Rana Magar Smriti Open Seven A Side Knockout Football Tournament.
In the final on Monday, Good Morning won the title by defeating Gauri Football Club in a tiebreaker.
Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled match. In the tiebreaker, Good Morning won 3-2 over Gouri and became the champion.
The winner, Good Morning, received a cash prize of Rs 55,555 along with the title, while the runner-up, Gauri, was satisfied with a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 33,333.
Gauri's goalkeeper Ankit Chhetri was selected as the man of the match in the final match. Similarly, in the other categories, Anup Thapa of Good Morning became the best goal keeper and Kiran Shahi of HYC won the top scorer award.
Nikhil Thapa of Gauri FC was chosen as the best player of the tournament while Rimba Sunar of Good Morning FC was declared as the most valuable player.
The winners and runners-up were awarded by the chief guest of the closing program, Yamuna Kaucha, patron of the host club, Ghanshyam Shrestha, program coordinator Rohan Rana Magar and others.
A total of 34 teams participated in the competition organized by Lad Basecamp Butwal.
