GoalNepal Supporters, Nepal national team players, A Division league players, football fans, club officials and well wishers have jointly raised NRs 9,96,403 for player Biswash Shrestha.
GoalNepal Foundation started a fund raising campaign for Bishwas Shrestha, who is going through tough time. Separate fund raising program was also initiated in Waling, Syangja.
The Foundation started the campaign with NRs 10,000.
Nepal U23 player Shrestha - whose house was partially damaged in an inferno few months ago - is now struggling to cover medical bill of his father who is now in ICU at Grande hospital. His father was electrocuted last month and is undergoing treatment in Kathmandu.
"This is very tough period for me. My father is now in ICU battling for his life. We have already spent more than 12 lakhs for his treatment. We need more money. Today, I feel so happy to be a part of Nepalese football community. I would like to thank all for the support", said prolific left footed player Shrestha after receiving the donation in Waling.
Senior player Laxman Ruchal was the lead person in the campaign.
"I would like to thank all for their kind support. This proves that Nepalese football community is so united", said Ruchal.
GoalNepal Foundation CEO, Mr. Bikram Thapa appluaded the effort laid by senior player Ruchal and thanked all for the generous support.
