News Lalitpur: APF Puts Feet Closer To Title In NSC 16th National Women's League

Nepal Armed Police Force Women's team has put its feet closer to the title of National sports council 16th national women's league.

APF defeated Nepal Army 2-1 in a very important match played at ANFA complex, Satdobato on Tuesday.

Anita KC and Anita Basnet scored apiece for the winners. Krishna Khatri scored for Army. With the win, APF women have topped the group with six points and they will play against Nepal Police in the final day on Thursday.

APF however had minus point in the game as their important player Man Maya Limbu was sent off for two bookable offences in the stoppage time.

Earlier, Nepal Police club women's team toiled hard to beat Far Western region 1-0. Rupa Magar scored the match winner in 31st minute.

Thursday's encounter will see Nepal Army taking on Far Western whereas APF locks horns with Nepal Police club.

ANFA is managing the tournament on behalf of National sports council. The event has a winning purse of Rs 2 lakh.
