Sundar Haraicha and Miklajung have won their respective matches in 1st Belbari Mayor cup football tournament.

In the first match played at Belbari proposed stadium on Saturday, Sundar Haraicha Municipality defeated Ratuwamai Municipality 2-1.

Ratuwamai Municipality took the lead in the 3rd minute through Santosh Limbu. Sundar Haraicha Municipality got the equalizing goal from the penalty spot through Komal Khawas in the 10th minute. Sundar Haraicha municipality took the lead through the substituted player Aashis Chaudhary in the end of the first half. Either team could not score in the second half and the match ended 2-1.

Bikash khawas was awarded the man of the match and recieved Rs 2500.

In the second match, Miklajung Gaunpalika defeated Gramtham rural municipality 1-0. Sushil Rai scored the only goal for Miklajung in the game.

Biratnagar metropolitan City will play Belbari blue in the first game tomorrow and Kerabari rural municipality will play against Letang in the second game.

The winner of the tournament will be awarded Rs 1 lakh 51 thousand, medal and trophy and the runners up will be awarded Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand, medal and trophy.
