Hosts Far West Pashupati Club has won the title of 3rd Far West Pashupati Cup Football Club.

In the final match played on Saturday at Dhangadi Stadium, hosts won the game in tiebreaker and won the title for the first time in three final appearances. Far West defeated PFA Attariya by 4-3 in the tiebreaker.

The match ended goalless draw in the regular 90 minutes and even in the added 15 minutes extra time neither team were able to get the goal and the match was forced to spot kick battle. Two players, Bishow Adhikari and Janak Karki, from PFA Attariya couldn’t hit the target in the penalty, and foreign player Issac also failed to net the goal.

Far West Pashupati Club received three lakhs, certificates, trophies and medals. Runner-up PFA Attariya received one lakh and fifty thousands.

Roshan Khatri, the best player; Segun, the leading goal scorer; Amit Tamang, the best defender; Pritam Khadka, the best goalie and Deependra Budha, emerging player, were among the players receiving the player awards. All the players won ten thousands each.

The hosts stated that the prize money for next edition will be increased for the winner and will be made four lakh. The competition featured 16 teams from different places.
