News AFC Confirms Nepal Qualified To Round Two Not INDIA !
GoalNepal

India U19 stunned Thailand U19 1-0 but that wasn't sufficient to go through round 2 of AFC U19 women's qualifiers.

Despite 1-0 win against Thailand, India could not make it through to the Round 2 of the Qualifiers courtesy of their head-to-head result against Nepal.

Due to groups having different number of teams after withdrawals, the results against the fourth-placed and fifth-placed teams in four-team and five-team groups are not considered for this ranking.

Thus result against Pakistan isn't counted and Thailand, Nepal and India finished on three points. The goal difference between just these three teams were counted, which left Thailand at the top with a +2 goal difference, while India and Nepal were tied at -1.

Thailand 3–0 Nepal
Nepal 2–0 India
Thailand 0–1 India

Head-to-head standings:

Thailand: 3 pts, +2 GD, 3 GF
Nepal: 3 pts, -1 GD, 2 GF
India: 3 pts, -1 GD, 1 GF

(Higher number of goals scored in the group Matches played among the Participating Teams in question. Nepal scored one more goal than India)

Due to this, the head-to-head result between India and Nepal came into play again, and Nepal go through.

After learning the fate, India protested against the decision of AFC in the stadium.

Thailand have already secured their spot in the final round as host.

Editor Note: We regret for our earlier post in which we said India sidelined Nepal to qualify.
