News Futsal Arena and Pasang College On Top Of MPL II

The third week of the Mahila Premier League II (MPLII) had 20 goals scored.

This took the total number of goals to 121. Futsal Arena maintains their rank in first position; however, Pasang College is now only trailing by a 2 goal difference after overcoming Barca Nepal in a high scoring game. FC S YES played an extremely competitive game against Futsal Arena, losing 3-2 in the final minutes of the game.

The match started with an early goal scored by Asmita Rai from FC S YES; the game had many great strikes and saw a strong defense strategy from Futsal Arena.

“It was a great game, I barely had time to catch my breath,” says Bandana Magar from FC S YES.

At the end of the third week, team Mighty Mahilas stand in fourth position followed by MUFC Girls Nepal in fifth position. Each team came away with 2 points from their head to head match.

Mighty Mahilas and MUFC Nepal Girls finished their game 1-1, after an equalizing goal scored by MUFC Nepal Girls just seconds before the final whistle. The highlight of the game was undoubtedly this last powerful goal scored by Pema Jimba Lama. “The games are getting tougher week by week, with players getting better and teams working harder,” conveys Basanti Neupane of Mighty Mahilas.

The third week of MPL II witnessed substantial growth in the skill level of all players and teams. “I can see visible changes in the skill level and motivation level of my team members; they are highly inspired to learn more and train more. We are bonding better as we play and train more for MPLII,” commented Jharana Rai of Pasang College. With four more weeks to go, players are encouraged to continue improving their football techniques for their upcoming matches.
