4th Mai Valley gold cup football tournament 2075 is kicking off on Wednesday at Ilam Tundikhel.

A total of twelve teams from Nepal, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 6,66,666.

Hosts Mai Valley FC is playing against Kaski XI in the opening match.

The match will kick off at 3 PM. All the matches will be streamed LIVE on GoalNepal platforms.

Mai Valley FC skipper Subash Rai: "We are well prepared to play the opening match. We want to enter second round. We have hired players from other districts. We also have senior players in the team. I am confident that we can make it to the second round with the support from local fans."

Kaski XI coach Kiran Shrestha: "We are ready for the match. Our aim is to win the match and go through second round. We travelled all the way from western region but that shouldn’t be an excuse for us. Boys are excited to go to the field and play their natural game."

Kaski XI VC Man Bahadur Tamang: "Team is ready to play against hosts. We will give our best to win the match."
