
Maneshwori Boys Club (Rato) has won the title of Laxminarayan (Lakshya) Memorial Cup National Knockout Football Tournament held here today.
In the final match held on Tuesday, Maneshwari Boys defeated Shree Kumari Club 1-0 to win the title. Sujan Shrestha scored the lone goal for Maneshwori Boys in the match held at Panauti Regional Stadium.
Maneswari Boys won rs 200,000 while runner-up Shree Kumari Club bagged Rs 100,000 along with trophies and medals.
Upendra Lavagan of Shree Kumari was adjudged the best goalkeeper in the category while Bikki Chaudhary of Maneshwori Boys won the award for the highest goal scorer. Sujan Shrestha of Maneshwori was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
Mayor of Panauti Municipality Ram Sharan Bhandari, Deputy Mayor Geeta Banjara, President of the organizing club Ram Krishna Shrestha, among others, gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up.
Maneshwori Boys Club and Maneshwori Women's Group, Panauti, Kavre organized the event.
