Tribhuvan Army Football Club, a leading contender in the ANFA Women's League, delivered a commanding performance in their final match of the third stage on Tuesday.
In the sole fixture held at the ANFA complex in Satdobato, Army dominated Sudurpaschim Province with a 14-1 victory. Deepa Shahi was a standout with five goals, including a hat-trick.
Anita Lamjel contributed two goals, while Bimala Chaudhary, Hima Chaudhary, Chandra Bhandari, Bimala Bik, Sanju Kumal, and Sabitridevi Magar each added one goal. An own goal by Sudurpaschim and another own goal by Army rounded out the scoring.
Following this impressive win, Army has accumulated 6 points from 3 matches and moved up to fourth place in the league standings. Sudurpaschim, on the other hand, remains at the bottom of the table without any points.
The league, featuring 10 teams, will award the champion with 10 million in cash and the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 million.
