With a thrilling win, Golden Star Youth Club, Bhalluva Junior has entered the finals of the 1st Budhiganga Monsoon Cup Knockout Football Tournament held here.

In the first semi-final held on Wednesday, Golden Star Bhaluva managed to get closer to the junior title by defeating Shanti Yuva Sporting Club, Itahari 2-1.

While Shubham Gachchdar scored one goal for Golden Star Junior, one more goal was scored by Mohammad Azmad of the opposing team as a suicide goal. Mohammad Amir scored a goal for the defeated Shanti Yuva.

Golden Star's Ankit Chaudhary was declared Man of the Match. Under the competition, the second semi-final match on Thursday 24th Shrawan will be played between Golden Star Youth Club, Bhaluwa, Sunsari and Junior Football Club, Lakhantari, Morang, the organizers informed.

The winner of the competition, which will run until 26th of July, will receive 25,000 in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 15,000.
