2nd Bhu Pu Sainik Cup got underway in Butwal on Tuesday.

Lisnu Youth Club, Kotihawa hammered hosts Bhu Pu Sainik Sporting Club B 4-1 in the opening match at Jwai ground, Salghari, Butwal.

Saroj Thapa struck twice while Sabin Pun and Surya Thapa scored apiece for the winners. Sher Bahadur Thapa scored a consolation goal for the losing team.

Surya Thapa of Lisnu bagged the man of the match.

Western Regional Police Training Center, Butwal will take on Fulbari Guys, Butwal on Wednesday.

Bhu Pu Sainik Jwai Sporting Club is organizing the tournament that has a winning purse of Rs.1,51,000. Runners-up will receive Rs.75,000.

Final match is scheduled on Baisakh 1.
