News Chitwan: Third Round Kicks Off In Bharatpur Mayor's Cup

Bharatpur Mayor's Cup inter-school football league, organized by Bharatpur Metropolitan City and sponsored by Central College, has started the third round of matches.

Under the league, Om Shanti Academy won the Group A match at Amar Mavi Patihani ground. Om Shanti achieved a 3-1 comeback win against Dhadaghari Mavi.

After this win, Om Shanti has climbed to the second place in the table with five points from three matches.

On the other hand, Greenland Public School registered a comprehensive victory in the Group B match at Shardanagar. They defeated Parijat English Boarding School by 6 goals against 1.

Badal Subba and Prajwal Lamsal scored hat-tricks in Greenland's win. Parijat servant Ghimire Chhetri scored a goal.

After this win, Greenland has climbed to the top of the table in Group B. It has 6 points in three games. With this, Greenland has secured a place in the knockout stage of the competition.

Adikavi Bhanu Ma vi, which played one game less, dropped to the second place with equal points. They will face Siddharth Ma vi in the final match of the league stage. The group of the game will decide the winner.

Similarly, Eden Garden English Boarding School won the Group C match in Krishnapur. They made a 2-1 comeback win against Janapriya English boarding school. Captain Sriram Ranabhat and Rupesh Ghale scored the goals in Eden Gardens' victory. Janapriya's Yudin Thapa Magar scored the goal.

After this win, Eden Gardens has four points in three games. Eden Gardens is third in the table. Despite having the same number of points with second placed Lakshmi Ma vi, Eden Garden has been eliminated from the competition. Janapriya has finished the journey with no points.

There will be three more matches in the league on Tuesday. Group A's Step by Step and Gaurigunj Mavi will face each other in Patihani on Tuesday. Similarly, in Shardanagar, Siddharth Mavi of Group B and Adikavi Bhanu Mavi will face each other, while in Krishnapur, there will be a competition between Vishwaprakash Mavi and Lakshmi Mavi of Group C.
