News Chitwan: Gaindakot FC Enters SFs Of 1st Bharatpur Championship

With a comprehensive victory against the departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Bhandara, Gaindakot FC has entered semifinals of Central College first Bharatpur Football Championship.

In the last quarterfinal match completed today (Saturday), Gaindakot rained goals against APF. In a one-sided match, Gandakot won by 7 goals against 0. Glory scored a hat-trick for APF. Rajesh Pun, Dipesh Ale, Vivash Nepali and Angel Maharjan scored one goal each.

In the first minute of the game, APF goalkeeper Vishal Gurung made a mistake and Glory scored a goal to give Gandakot the lead. Gaindakot doubled the lead with Glory's goal in the fifth minute. Glory scored a hat trick in the 17th minute. This is the first hat-trick in the ongoing tournament. After Rajesh scored in extra time of the first half, Gaindakot took a 4-0 lead.

Gaindakot added three goals in the second half. In the eighth minute of the second half, Dipesh scored the fifth goal for Gaindakot. Vivas scored the sixth goal in the 19th minute. Gandakot won 7-0 after Angel scored in extra time. Gaindakot's glory, who scored a hat-trick, became the man of the match.

With this, the semi-final equation of the competition has been completed. The semi-final stage matches will start from Tuesday 6th of Chaitra. In the first semi-final, Central College 28 Bigah will face Ghairung FC on Tuesday 6th, while in the second semi-final, Abukhayrhani Rural Municipality and Gaindakot will meet on Wednesday 7th Chaitra.

The tournament organized by Chitwan 11 Football Club will continue till 10th of Chaitra. The winner of the competition will receive Rs 3 lakh 3 thousand and the runner-up will get Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. The competition has been organized on the occasion of Bharatpur visit year 2024.
