Star City Boys Union Club has entered the finals of the ongoing 4th Gauriganga Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament in Kailali.
Star City Boys Union beat Farwest Sports 3-2 in the semi-finals on Monday and came close to the title.
Narendra Chaudhary, Kuveer Singh and Hikmat Chhetri scored goals for Star City Boys Union in the match at Gouriganga Stadium. Dhirendra Shrestha and Sandeep Shrestha scored the goals for the defeated Farwest Sports. Bhupendra Shah of Star City Boys Union was elected Man of the Match in the match.
Under the competition, the second semi-final match on Tuesday, falgun 29, will be held between Gauriganga-11 Sports Club and Farwest Pashupati Youth Club, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament organized by Gauriganga-11 Sports Club, Gauriganga-8, Kailali will get 6 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 3 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 1st of Chaitra.
