Rijalco Morang XI marched to the quarterfinals crushing Thimpu FC, Bhutan 2-0 in the opener of Birat gold cup  2074 at Sahid Maidan, Biratnagar on Saturday.

Bhuwan Basnet and Nisan Limbu scored apiece for the winners in the second match.

Nishan Limbu was declared the man of the match. He received Rs.10,000.



Sankata Club will meet Mohammedan SC in the second pre-quarterfinal match tomorrow.

Morang FC will take on Jhapa XI in the first quarterfinal match on Chaitra 19.

Birat Gold Cup trust is organizing the tournament, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,71,000.
