Pharsatikar Youth Club has entered the quarter finals of Khagi Gurungseni memorial 6th New Srijana Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.
In the pre-quarterfinals held on Monday, Pharsatikar defeated New Rise Youth Club in a tiebreaker to secure a place in the last eight. Before that, both teams played a 1-1 draw in the scheduled time match at the host club's ground in Tilottma-13, Karaujia.
Towards the scheduled time, Indra Bhandari scored for New Rise and Tikaraj Gurung scored for Pharatikar. In the tiebreaker, New Rise lost 3-2 to Pharsatikar.
Goalkeeper Shubhankar JC was declared the man of the match. The organizers informed that there will be no match on Falgun 15 due to Magar Day.
Similarly, Sher Gurung, coordinator of the match between Sampurna Yuva Club, Supauli and Devinagar Yuva Club, Butwal, informed about the pre-quarter final on Falgun 16.
Senior Social Worker, the chairman of the organizing club, Sobit Darlami, informed that the winner of the competition held under the main sponsorship of Narjanj Gurung will receive 1 lakh 16 thousand in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 60 thousand. The final match will be held on the 26th of Falgun.
