Nawalparasi XI has entered semifinals of 8th Suryanagar gold cup football tournament in Bardaghat.

Nawalparasi defeated Tanahun XI 3-2 in the opening match played at Suryanagar on Monday.

Eight teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 5 lakh.

On Tuesday, Nepal Police Club will play against Barca Nepal in second quarterfinal match.

Nawa Yuwa club is organizing the championship.
