Namo Buddha youth club, Saptari has entered semifinals of 7th International Invitational Rhino Conservation Gold Cup 2081.
Namobuddha YC Saptari secured their spot in the semifinals with a commanding 5-0 victory over Eleven Star FC India. The standout performance came from captain Srijan Chhetri, who netted the tournament's first hat-trick, showcasing his exceptional skill and leadership on the field. Teammates Samuel Sunar and Sajan Chhetri each contributed with one goal to seal the high-scoring match.
Namobuddha YC will now face Nepal Police Club in the second semifinal, promising an exciting clash between two strong teams. Srijan Chhetri was awarded the title and a cash prize of NPR 5,000 for his outstanding performance.
Semifinals kick off today, with Deshbhakfa YC Sarawal set to challenge the departmental side APF in the first semifinal.
The tournament winner will take home NPR 800,000, while the runners-up will receive NPR 400,000. The final is scheduled for the 14th of Kartik.
This event is organized by Rhino Club Madhyabindhu, located in Nawalpur, and aims to raise awareness for rhino conservation while promoting sportsmanship among participating teams.
