Birgunj United, Parsa has entered the finals of the 3rd Manaharwa Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament.

In the first semi-final held on Wednesday, Birgunj came close to winning the title by defeating the host Mouwa Devi Youth Club by 2-0.

Amar Dangol scored the first goal for Birgunj in the 17th minute of the match at the Badharwa Stadium and Sagar Chaudhary scored the second goal in the 73rd minute to ensure the team's victory. Amar Dangol of Birgunj was declared man of the match in the match.

The second semi-final match on Thursday will be held between Regal Hetauda Resort Anfa Makwanpur and Nava Durga Yuva Club, Simara, the organizers informed.

The winner of the competition organized by Shree Mauwa Devi Youth Club, Badharwa, Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-18, Bara will get 2 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 1 lakh. The final match will be held on Magh 20.
