Bishwo Shanti Youth Club, Saljhandi and Sunaulo Sangam, Kanchan-5 have become the last two teams to enter the semi-finals of the ongoing 3rd Rudrapur Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament.

In the third quarter-final held at Rudrapur Mavi Stadium located at Kanchan 4, Bishwa Shanti defeated Himalayan Community Development Center, Kanchan-4 by 2 goals to zero and entered the final four. In the match Suraj Tharu of Vishwa Shanti was declared Man of the Match.

Similarly, in the fourth and final quarter-final, Sunaulo Sangam defeated Farsatikar Youth Club, Pharsatikar by 4-3 in a tiebreaker. Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw. Sunaulo Sangam's goalkeeper Kushal Sunar was elected man of the match.

Drishti Rana Magar informed that the first semi-final match of the competition will be between Rajesh Astha Foundation, Kapilvastu and Vishwa Shanti Youth Club, Saljhandi on Saturday 28th December.

The winner of the competition organized by Rudrapur Yuva Club, Kanchan-4, Rupandehi will get a cash prize of Rs 1,11,111 and the runner-up will get a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 55,555. The final match will be held on the 2nd of Magh.
