News Bishal Shrestha Hangs His Boots From International Football

Bishal Shrestha, an experienced goalkeeper who has shown his talent and ability in Nepal football for more than a decade, has announced his retirement from international football on Friday.

Bishal, who is also the marquee player and captain of FC Chitwan for the ongoing second Nepal Super League (NSL), announced his retirement after the match was over after winning 2-0 against Jhapa on Friday. Bishal was also selected as the player of the match in that match.

Two years ago Bishal, who made his debut for the national team against India in Dasharath Stadium in August 2078, became the first and last game of Bishal. Bishal, who made a place in the national team for the first time in 2011, was the last match of international football for Bishal, who did not get an opportunity to play in the national team after that.

Bishal, who played for Manang Masryangdi Club, Machchindra Club through ANFA Academy and won the top division title of Nepal, has also won many Mofusal titles.

Remember, Bishal also played for Butwal Lumbini Football Club in the last edition of Nepal Super League (NSL). Bishal has said that he decided to retire to give opportunities to young players in the national team.
