Delhi Public School Birgunj started 9th CG Cup inter-school football competition with a win in Birgunj.

Delhi Public defeated DAV School Birganj Parsa by 4-0 in the competition that started on Wednesday at the ground of Delhi Public School.

Pranish Shrestha alone scored four goals including a hat-trick in Delhi Public's victory. Pranish Shrestha, who scored four goals, was declared the player of the match.

Before that, the tournament was inaugurated on Wednesday by Lt. Col. Diamond Karki of the Nepali Army. A total of 16 schools have competed in the competition, which will be conducted until Paush 13th, 9 from Parsa, 5 from Bara, 1 each from Makwanpur and Chitwan.

The winning school of the competition conducted under the management of Chaudhary Group's CG Education will receive 15,000 rupees, while the runner-up will receive 7,000 rupees.
