Birtamod United FC of Jhapa and Dangihat FC of Morang are competing in the final of the 1st Kirat Gold Cup held here today.
By making a great comeback, Jhapa's Birtamod defeated Taplejung 2-1 and made it to the final from the last semi-final. Similarly, Morang is the first team to enter the final after defeating the host Panchthar in a tie breaker by 4-1.
Both the teams will compete for the title defense in the final match at Phidim Mavi Stadium today at 1:30 PM. 8 teams from India including Darjeeling, Taplejung, Tehrathum, Ilam, Kathmandu participated in the competition.
The winner of the competition will get 4 lakh 4 thousand 444 cash and the runner-up team will get an attractive trophy with cash 2 lakh 2 thousand 222.
According to the organizers, the best players will get 25,000 in cash for category awards.
